Hungry Ghosts - I Don’t Think About You Anymore, But I Don’t Think About You Anyless
I stumbled upon this video on Youtube today and I noticed the top comments were paragraphs about what people imagine when they listen to this song. I scrolled down and clicked on the next few pages of comments only to find more snippets of beautiful, dark, and intricate stories.
I imagined a french female spy, wearing red lipstick and black gloves, that assasinated her exboyfriend and then went to the funeral. She smirks to herself as she sees mourners crying and wondering about who killed the lost loved one. This would be the music playing by a man on the accordion. She puts her sunglasses on and leaves still smiling, as the people bury the man’s body. A bored girl watches her curiously and admires her beauty.
A man looks at himself in the mirror. He shaves his week long stubble. You see him cleaning his apartment. When he is done he gets dressed very slowly, looking through all of his clothes. He goes to the store and gets groceries. When he passes people they don’t have faces, just dark blurs. He leaves to go back to his apartment. You see the street and it’s black and white. you see his apartment and it’s red. He restocks his pantry. He lays down and puts a gun in his mouth and closes his eyes.
It’s wonderful and I implore you to check it out and maybe ask yourself…
What do you see?
